IIEE CRCSA CONDUCTS GENERAL MEMBERSHIP & FIRST TECHNICAL SEMINAR
General Membership Meeting, an event that comes at the beginning of the year. After almost two months of having no such activity, it is as if all electrical practitioners in CRCSA are waiting for it. The anticipation is high both from the Board of Directors as well as the members. For the Board of Directors and Governors due to its new direction and target to hold and conduct technical seminars and technical lectures more frequently to support the growing needs for technological learning amongst members. For the members who are quite enthusiastic to start the year with their renewed interest to be part of activeness while earning continuing professional development points as mandated by CPD Law for all licensed professional where electrical practitioners are part of.
As early as December 2017, many inquiries have started to pour from different areas of CRCSA. Inquiries includes schedule of GMM & First Technical Seminar, schedule of Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE), schedule of mentoring for Professional Electrical Engineering, ASEAN/ATR Registry, ACPE Registry and so forth.
As expected from many inquiries, the GMM & First Technical Seminar which was held on January 12, 2018 at the Basement of Aquarium Hotel in Dhabbab St. Riyadh, KSA was attended by a large number of registrants. The General Membership Meeting was composed of several activities which includes Induction of Newly Elected Chapter President and Turn-over, Committee Chairmanship, New Board of Directors and Oath Taking of New Members. The 2018 Budget and Plans was also presented and have been approved by the members. IIEE-CRCSA has presented also the schedules for 2018 SPLE review classes, PEE Technical Evaluation and Examination, ASEAN Registry and ACPE write shops.
On the other hand, the First Technical Seminar entitled “ARC FLASH HAZARD ANALYSIS & MITIGATION” was conducted by its very own newly elected Chapter President , Engr. Orlando M. Sales.
Engr. Orlando M. Sales apart from being the 2018 Chapter President, is a Professional Electrical Engineer and an ASEAN Registry Engineer with vast experiences in Consultancy and Constructions industry as Electrical Engineer. He received recently a citation for having a successful conduct of SPLE review resulting to a record high of SPLE passer for IIEE-CRCSA in 2017 from recent Special Professional Licensure Examination held in September 2017.
The topic was presented with great deal of details according to the relevant standard which included the FPA 70 and IEEE along with the technical calculations. Attendees were able to interact through their clarifications and questions to the speaker who warmly responded to each and every technical clarifications from the audience.
The success of the event was attributed to the early planning of the chapter board of directors in coordination with its past presidents through their untiring support.
Once again, mission accomplished and congratulations for the successful conduct of the General Membership Meeting & First Technical Seminar to start 2018 and the collective efforts of the entire IIEE CRCSA leadership for providing quality seminars and many other services to its members.
