IIEE-CRCSA attend 1st PCEA-KSA Iftar Party
The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. – Central Region Chapter, Saudi Arabia attended the 1st PCEA-KSA Party held on May 18, 2018 at Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Iftar (or Fatoor in Arabic) is the evening meal with which Muslims ends their daily Ramadan fast at sunset. Muslims break their fast at the time of the call to prayer for the evening prayer. His Excellency, Atty. Adnan Alonto, Philippine Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary to Saudi Arabia & Yemen and Engr. Abdulatif Al Harkan, Secretary General of Saudi Council of Engineers graced the occasions. One of the highlights of the program was the presentation of achievements of individuals who had shown extraordinary feat i.e. Engr. Mario A. Balboa, Chairman Emeritus of PCEA-KSA and Engr. Rolando M. Nicolas, founding Vice Chairman of PCEA-KSA. Both engineers will be conferred as 2018 Bagong Bayani for Outstanding Employee on June 7, 2018 at PICC, Manila. Also, mentioned were Engrs Emmanuel Yumul, Kenneth Vallespin, and Emmanuel Flores who were conferred as APEC Engineers from IECEP-KSA. Achievements / accomplishment of different organizations ware presented by Engr. Melvin Candelario, 2018 PCEA-KSA Chairman. Engr. Al Harkan thanked the Filipinos for their role of nation building and progress to the Saudi Arabia. In response, Ambassador Alonto thanked Saudi Arabia for their generosity and good treatment to the Filipinos.
